Default Need some help

I've taken off the dash but need to finish up the heater core. I was wondering if anyone had the gs300 service manual (year 98). It would help a lot. Thanks!

Thanks TLW.

Anyway, I might as well post my problem just in case my diagnosis is not correct.

Currently my GS300 has 90k miles from 1998 bought new.

A while ago, the heater stopped working.
Now it is leaking coolant slowly, giving off a "fish"-like scent, releasing some coolant as gas from the vents, and fogging up the interior.

I had the system pressure tested today and it did not indicate a leak from within the engine bay. When I got back home and checked the car a bit later, I noticed coolant coming out of the A/C Drain. As I removed the dash, I can find hints of coolant almost everywhere. It is underneath the passenger carpet, inside the vents etc.

Bump! I need someone's second opinion. And if anyone else happens to have the manual it would be extremely helpful as Pearpower does not have one.

the heater core is a common problem on GS's, just check to make sure it's not something stupid like a fitting or a hose before you go tearing the interior apart and replacing a whole heater core. I had to do the same job on my sister's land rover freelander and it sucks, so eliminate all other redundant possibilities before going the full 9 yards you know?

Hey everyone,

Sorry for the late response. Anyway, if anyone cares, I completed the heater core and everything is back to normal now. I had to remove the whole dash (which required removing the steering wheel). If anybody has any questions feel free to email me at eshuang@ucdavis.edu. I am rarely an active member here, moreso on My.is.

All the symptoms are listed above and now the car does not show any of those anymore!
