It is a JDM look and I think it came out nicely. The red stripe look you're referring to is call the "time attack look" which is really played out. If the OP likes the way his wheels look then thats all that matter. Personally I like it as I like most things JDM, but this looks doesn't suit all.

 

yep, you hit it right on the head. By no means was i demeaning the look at all, personally its just the shock of being so different but eventually i think itd grow on me. I couldn't have said it better myself.

I just got them out of the shop Yesterday. I was really stressin on how they would look but when i saw them on the car. I just Loved em.

Its REALLY DIFFERENT from the Norm i know but y follow the crowd.

I love it!! Really....it's pretty cool. Most people are afraid to go out on a limb but I really thing you hit it out the park son!!

 

I give you props for just having the ***** to be different and not follow the norm. Whenever you go against the grain like that, you will ALWAYS face alot of scrutiny. But the outcome is just what you wanted and that's all that counts. Looks good! I thought it was a bold move when you painted your wheels black. You just topped yourself brother!

Shame: You need a blue GS so they match something and they look "planned".

 

i like the black rims much more than the current blue ones

 

For me personally those wheels are a love hate type thing...

I was talking to a buddy today and was like "DAMN IF I ONLY HAD A BLUE GS"


I got Black Tint on there now and im pretty set on stripping it all off and Putting on the Stock Blue Mercedes Tint on.....Only setback is that its in the Window ...

Gotta get that Blue Burlwood now


As for Chrome Lugs, I thought the same thing. I got the Purple T1R Lugs on there now. When the wheels were black i had the Blue Rays ones and loved em.
