PIC REQUEST! Black onyx w/ tint
Okay guys, I'm going to be tinting pretty soon and i just want to see how different percentage tint looks on the black onyx GS
if possible, i'd like to see 20%, 35% and any color other than black/charcoal that looks cool.
If anyone knows where to find that tint that comes OEM on the S550 mercedes (kind of green/silverish but about same translucency as 20%) PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
Thanks in advance fellas

From what I'm told, the equivalent tint to my 2000 RX300 is LLumar Platinum Plus(TM) window film, and it has a very faint greenish tint. Maybe that's close to the Mercedes color you're looking for? I believe all RX300s came with this tint, so just look for one and you'll get the idea.

Darkest on Ceramic for most brands is 30% I think; if you want darker they need to layer it, Other good ceramic brands are Maddico and Johnstons err Johnsons; and Lumar
DAshocker...Mercedes Benz's if anything come with stained glass window tint from the factory, no film is ever applied.
Some dealers however charge an arm and leg for it to have it done, but most dealers in socal on upper end cars will not do tinting and will not sell cars with tint at least on BMW's and Mercedes here bur rather direct the owner to a tint shop. (At a slight % off- discount).

Yes they do make lower % yet unlike other low % films, law enforcement will be able to see heads in the car. Have you seen the window tint available on the new S class Mercedes? They are of a darker hue compared to the C, E, CLK cars.. Check out Huper Optik's website for more info including news video below..

its between that tint or 20% charcoal all around except windshield.
though a big factor will be whether or not they can get their hands on it
