i was leaving work in my 98gs400 and when i started car the climate controll didnt show outside temp. just 2 flat lines. it showed the fan speed and everything else like normal, but the fan wasnt doing anything. manual or auto fan wouldnt come on. i drove to gas station and turned car off and on and it went back to normal. Anybody have this happen and what would make it go loco?

 

sounds like a bad connection, maybe to the temp sensor since it had 2 flat lines. not sure about the fan but it may need the temp sensor input in some way to work...
