i think it was pretty easy. I tried it once, and it didn't go right because my connection to the wire harness for the fog switch was loose. i re-did the whole thing today because school's about to start and I had some free time. all in all it took about 45 minutes from start to finish. just follow the instructions and you will be fine.

it's not bad but i highly recommend making that extension thing banana put up there and LABELING everything beforehand. After that, it's just one tap, connect extension to relay, tap in relay box, tap in fuse, and you're done. it's easy, just really a pita b/c it's so deep in the foot well.

RI-LEX what happened? how did you connect your wire to the green/white wire of the fog switch harness? are you sure your wire tapping the fuse is secure?

in terms of the fuse, i found the best way to tap it is to strip the wire, wrap the leg of the fuse once with the exposed bit of wire and cram the fuse back into its socket. this has been the best way for me to deal with these darn mini fuses. i did the same a few months ago when i hard wired my radar, still works like a charm.

coco-bun is spot on about labeling your wires.

DL5, I tapped into the green wired under the steering wheel just fine, then the damn fuses I kept dropping them (big hands I guess) At one point I got the fogs to stay on, but the switch wouldn't work, so I pretty much gave up before I ******ed something up.

Check your relay configuration, I had that messed up but once I got it right all was well.

if you have a gs3, with HIDs in low beam and fog, then you can just simply switch the wires around. fog switch = low beams, low beams switch = foglights

if you have a gs3.

You can do that but if you ever turn on the highbeams then your lowbeams will turn off but it would work and I'm sure most people hardly use their highbeams anyway. Which leads to my next question. Does this mod allow you to have your highbeams and fog lights on at the same time?
