It's goodbye for now folks.....
Gas prices got the best of me. I got tired of paying 60 bucks every 3 days for my commute so I traded in my 98 gs4 for an 05 scion xa (avg 36MPGin traffic) and a 04 Sienna LE 8-pass (for the wife). I'll be back, looking to get an IS350 or maybe a GS350 after school is over (bout 2 years) in the meantime and between time, I'll be checking in here every now and then. You guys have been great and I will always be a LEXUS fanatic....

I was thinking will it hurt the car if i start putting regular gas in my gs rather than the premium will that be a major factor and throw some feul cleaner in?

i bought my wife a scion xa last year this time and it has been awesome so far... i downgraded her from a jeep grand cherokee limited fully loaded to a 04 (i think) scion xa with only the in dash mp3 player... man it was a downsize but it has definitely surpassed all of my expectations so far.
i love driving that car around the crowded cities and it can literally park anywhere... i get spots in dc and baltimore that other cars can't even think of getting. the only down side is that i don't like it for trips of over 40 minutes and it actually commands no respect at all... it doesn't matter if i am driving that xa like 80 around a highway curve in the rain, it never fails that everyone else around me will try to drive faster and try to get in front of me (without a blinker of course) then they will realize that i was obviously going way to fast in the first place and i will end up passing them again... repeat process until i get really pissed and end up driving 90 + just so people stop trying to pass me at every possibly chance they get.
but it does get us like 38 mpg's so it is always nice paying exactly half of my gs400's bill... i always pull up next to a big *** truck of suv when filling up with gas,,, then when i'm finished i say "28.50, i can't believe it costs 28.50 to fill up the WHOLE tank..." i make sure i say it just loud enough for them to hear me too... but yeah my v8 ain't cheap at all...
good luck with the zion xa, just remember your not the only one driving it...

hey guys!!! Yeah I am loving this Xa-just got 39MPG!!! this last fill!!! It is loud at speed but i seldom hit above 60 in the traffic I am in day in and day out. the Sienna gets 25 mpg and is far better room wise and comfort wise to my old MPV, although the mpv handled like a sports car. I plan on getting a gs350 in about two years IS350 is calling me too!! Thanks again guys i'll be around from time to time.
