thanks chuck! i want to put my car on jack stands (whole thing). should i jack up the front first, put the jack stands, and then the rear (and put jack stands)?
to get your car up uniformly but using only one jack, jacking up at the diff is fine. i wouldn't leave it jacked up at the diff for the duration of whatever you're doing though.
The rear diff is the correct jack point for the back of the car. If you're doing something quick like a tire change then it's usually ok to just leave the car on the jack...well that's what I do lol. If you plan to get under the car then ALWAYS put on the jack stands.

Doesn't really matter. I usually jack up the front first because if you lift up the rear first, it's harder to lift the front for those who are lowered.
I do have a floor jack. It's not deep enough. I can get under the sides just fine, but the car is too low to reach the cross member or differential and still have enough room to move the handle to jack the car up. Have any suggestions?
I need to get one of those cool in ground floor jacks that just lift it by the frame rails like they have at Les Schwab lol.
