Exclamation recommended stock tire size for 2001 GS430

Can someone please let me know the recommended tire size for a 2001 GS430. I had 215/60/16 put on and something is not right. When I brake the car shakes when it is still. PLEASE HELP!!!!

GS430 w/ 16" rims use a 225/55R16. I don't understand, your care shakes when you brake? or when your standing still? If it shakes while your braking, it definetly means you have warped rotors, and you need to have your rotors turned/cut. Had mine cut about 10k miles ago, am going to have them done agian at my dealership.

I need mine shaved but they cant do driled and slotted.

So its put the oe rotors back on or order a new set of i-rotors?

What to do?

16s on a 430? did you get jip'd somewhere along the line?
shouldnt you have 17s? 17s run on 235/45s.

If you're having problems when you're braking, then focus on the brakes, not the tires!

Believe it or not, some GS430 came with 16s

My GS400 came with 16s too

HAHA, i told my buddy that my 17s are bigger so i can go faster, he was trying to find 17s later that day! But when our cars are next to each other, i tell him my 17s make his 16s look like 13s... He hates it.

I gotta admit though..when I had my 16s...the high profile tires made the ride so comfortable

I have think to increase the tire diameter to increase fuel economy at highway but I'm not sure. Actually 245-35-19.

I had the rotors and brakes replaced and put on 225/55/16 on and the car is back to normal!! Thanks for the help!

.. Has anyone ever attempted to put 55s on the back of the stock 18" rim i have 245 40 18 now was trying to get a little wider in the back..possible?
