The gas prices are over $4.00 dollars in NY for premium (93) octane, which is ridiculous. I have always used 93. Do are cars really need to run on premium? anyone here using less octane? i mean come on guys prices are insane I'm about to bike it to work.

I though about using 89 lately , but still pumping 93 we'll see

 

Run regular and your car will be fine. you will loose out on some of the performance, but if you are not pushing the car past 5500rpm you should be fine. I have been using 87 for years and the mileage is uper 22-23mpg.

 

I don't feel any difference between using premium and regular.

 

i run regular but once in a while i run 93...gas is expensive you know

 

i've also been using 89 when i can but on road trips i've been using 87. don't really see a difference other than the few dollars i save.
