Question Mods for GS430

Hey guys,

I need some help again, I changed out my fog lights hleo1.

I was wondering if someone could tell me where would be the cheapest place I could get a TTE Grille for the GS.

Which Intake system w/ecu is the most reliable and gives the best performance and where can I buy it?

I also wanted a good exhaust system (nothing loud). Better performance and more fierce looking.

What tires have the best performance?

I wanted to sell my 17 inch chrome wheels and get some new ones, I am thinking 18 or 19 ( I wanted the same shine gun metal chrome or whatever it is called). I wanted to replace the tires without increasing the weight too much. Any suggestions, plus is there somewhere I can go to trade my wheels and get the new ones. I live in Atlanta, Ga. Anyone interested in buying my wheels?

What kind of oil do you guys suggest when I go for oil change?

Thank you everyone for your help. I will post a pic of my car tomorrow. I will put another one in a month after I make all these changes

Thanks
Buh Bye

welcome to the club, dude. you couldnt have made a better choice on cars!!!! as far as some of the mods for your car, i will answer some of the questions that i have direct experience with. the intake of choice on my car is the HFI/ECU combo that is sold from swift racing ( www.swiftracing.com ). it adds a VERY noticeable amount of power but it does change the character of the car. that is something that i have just recently come to grips with. as far as the exhaust, they all will be louder than stock. so after that it comes down to aesthetics. i personally like the borlas, b/c they dont have the huge canister that hangs below the car and the oval tips fill out the cut-outs in the bumper perfectly. you can get them from www.summitracing.com for right around $400. they add a nice gurlge to the exhaust, again changing the character. there are a lot of CL members that drive the GS that live here in the ATL. matter of fact, we are having a get together on the 23rd at ATL dragway. just hanging out and running the cars down the quarter. that would be the best place to get some of the info that you need, from people far more knowledgeable than myself. once again, welcome and enjoy that GS. but a word of advice...........once you start modding you will be hard-pressed to stop.

Before you put on the new 18 or 19” rims, lower your car at least 1.5” first. IF you don’t lower the car, it will look really ridiculous. The gap between the fender and the wheel will be so big that your new 18” or 19” will be a joke.

L-Tuned Shock and spring will not void the warranty if install by dealer. They lower the car about 1” and still retain some comfort in the ride. If you want performace, go with Bilstein Sport shock or quality coil.

As far as tire goes, most people here like the Toyo T1-S or Bridgestone S-03.
