Who has it??? Wheel shake that is!
Stupid question, but did you get it re-aligned after you put your wheels on? It makes a huge difference. I put 22's on my RX and lowered it, and before I had it re-aligned I took it on the freeway. The wheel shook like crazy. And then I had the front two wheels re-aligned, and it's gone. :-)
Wow. I am a new GS owner, and I thought it was just a problem with my car. I have 18's on it right now. I just ordered staggered 19's and within a few days I'll be ordering coilovers. I'll update after those mods and alignment if it gets any better. Right now it's pretty bad.
I wonder if adding hubcentric rings to my stock 07' GS wheels could help absorb some of the vibration.
I've already had these completed:
-Alignment
-Road force balance
-Properly torquing each lugnut
-Proper tire inflation
-New ball joints
-Daizen steering rack bushings
The shake only persists around 60-65mph. I usually drive at 70mph to avoid the shake.

I used to have it .... especially from 65-80 MPH....but I don't even have a trace of it anymore at ANY speed. I replaced lower control arms, steering rack bushings, tie rods, ball joints but although the car handled better it reduced the shaking some but certainly did not eliminate it.
After I bought new tires and 2 roadforce balances from "experts" with an alignment following each one, I finallly took the GS to a small shop on the wrong side of the tracks that specializes in fixing this the old fashioned way.............
They simply spin balance each wheel while they are still on the car using some sort of strobe light. Takes about 30-40 minutes to do all 4 wheels and they charged me $65 cash. Call me crazy but it works like a charm if you can find someone that can do it. Very few shops still do it this way but find a place that specializes in 20" wheels and larger and you may just find a simple economical solution to a most annoying problem.

I have a 98 gs400 with stock suspension. The shaking was annoying with the factory 16's that came on the car. I replaced them with '05 18" factory GS 5 spokes with Bridgestone Potenza RE760 Sports and the shaking has been drastically reduced (still not 100% gone)
2001 GS430, stock suspension with oem 17's (non chrome) w/ potenza 960as. I bought the car shaking at around 60-65, with 89k mon the clock. I am a tech at Toyota, so i have since balanced my tires, with road force variation, which just will let the tech is the rim or tire are beyond allowable specs which would cause a vibrate or pull. I have noticed that over about 10k miles, the rims actually need to be balanced again, but lately they have been very good. I did however notice a SMALL vibration around 62, so i tried the "solution", and i honestly can' tell it made a little difference. I turned it 1/16, i wanted to be conservative, but where i did notice the difference was when driving sraight ahead, the car does not shift or sway in the wind as much.
1 final solution that i don't think was mentioned here but worked for me was replacing the already after market rotors. i went from stock to crossdrilled and the vibrations got sickening so i changed the front rotors back to a blank vented brembo oem rotor that was like 100$ for the pair, and put new pads on (you get what you pay for with brake pads), got the wheel hubcentric hub ring things, got all 4 tires re-balanced, plus got the front and rear realigned and life is perfect again, my breaking is awesome again, and it cost a grand total of $215 for brake pads and rotors, $100 for the balance and alignment and like $50 for my friend to put the pads and rotors on, and like 12$ for the hub rings... less than 400$ total
