Post Check Engine Light - P0430

P0430

Catalyst efficiency below treshhold ( Bank 2 )

This is the error that came up on the scanner. Could this also effect my poor fuel milage? It went to 300 mptank from previous 400mpt. I hear some vibrations in the cat at idle as well sometimes.

Opinions?

Thank you...

I agree with the O2 sensors as the most likely but it could also be a leak

A leak in your exhaust system or your cat.

You should also have your 02 sensors checked out. They might need to be replaced.

My 98 GS4 just threw the same code. Is this the pre or post O2 sensor?
car seems to run fine.

This cat would be right under the driver side. P0430 means that you have a bad/blown cat.

Code PO430 is for the cat or O2 on the pass side. It doesn't state pre or post.
