I wanted to get one. You can find them on Yahoo Japan Auction for quite a bit cheaper than that. Main reason I want it is because the tachometer goes up to 9k 
Everything should plug in just fine and work, but the only problem I forsee is that the odometer reading is gonna be different from whats on your car lol. And I doubt the local dealer can program that unit to the correct number...or if they are even allowed to.
