stern used to be a pretty good japanese brand about 10 years ago. they had some very nice 2 and 3 piece wheels in addition to the one piece wheels.
apparently they've been bought out and are now made in china. the designs still look good.

Everyone doesnt have disposable income to spend 3k on rims and tires. That is one of the reasons why I decided on Sterns in addition to the great deal I got on them. I have never had an issue with my rims, and imo they look gret especially for the money.....Maybe in my next life or when I get a great paying job I will be able to dump 3k in some rims and not think twice

I am with you. I don't have $3k either, and I think they are good enough for the money. I do appreciate everyones feedback though.

If I had to get Sterns, I'd get those mesh looking ones instead.

You are correct. STERN was originally made in Japan, Golden Apple Corp, a wholesale distributer in Northern California, bought the company out and now are having the wheels made in China/Taiwan/Vietnam. Along goes with ADR, RS LIMITED as their other two line of wheels. I know this because I was within the company when they were still importing it from Japan. The wheels are great looking wheels and actually never had a problem with them cracking or splitting. ADR about 8 years ago before they change the process of casting wheels did have alot of complaint and problems, but those areas has been fix beyond the factorys producing them. You cant go wrong with a set of 20's for like 2100 with tires. I'm actually going to get a set of 19's for the BMW. Don't work there no more, but still got a good relationship with the managers still present.
