DUB DEUCE or NOT?
I am considering 22's. My car my wheels but I love 22's on the Lex. People do it here all the time and it looks ok. Down side is no riding with more than 3 people in the car and they must be of normal weight not 250+ either. The stock suspension will rub on those tires something awful. With 20's and 255 tires 5 people it will rub over certain street grades. Good luck and if i get the 22's I'll post pics asap.
The fact that this thread has run for almost 24 hours without a single pic should be the answer to your question. They can look good if done correct but the functionality tradeoff wipes out whatever looks they will bring to the table.
The bummer with 22s is that most guys just
do super-bling over the top 22x9 on all four
corners. The GS looks silly with skinny wheels
on the rear. Now, a proper 22x9.5 + 22x11.5
set-up might actually look pretty good.
Another one of my beefs with most GS 22"
set-ups is that guys don't lower the car.
Looks funny all "sittin' high!"
Visually, I think the 22s are a bit much for the
1 or 2 GS, you can start to get away with it on
the 3 GS or the new LS.
21s are prefect!

LMAO, Papi, I thought the same thing.

It's simply amazing to me how high off the ground these cars look. They look like they have modified 4-wheel drive suspensions or something.
That's just not a good look, so unless you can lower the car significantly, it's just a no-no for sure if you're doing it for aesthetic reasons (and why else WOULD you be doing it?).

But I think 22s could look good in the right hands, and if it's the right set of wheels, with the right suspension and bodykit.
Otherwise, 20s are fine (unless you're BlueLex LOL).
Like Bob said earlier and I agree 22's are usually always lifted instead of dropped. That makes them look even bigger, plus almost every gs I see with 22's usually has no bodykit, not sure why but they almost all have oem body. I also think the finish really plays into it with bigger wheels, that blk one doesn't look that bad but the silver one with chrome wheels looks really bad(not good). I went with 21's but I didn't want to fall into the donk category. We did a darker finish to play down the size a little plus we went staggard which people don't usually do on the GS when going big sizes like Bob mentioned aswell. 21x9.5 front and 21x11 rear and than dropped the car lower than it used to sit when I had 20's.
Here's what I know, if there is someone who could make 22s work, it would be BlueLex or Derrick (D2). So if you're gonna do it, get LOTS of advice from the said wheel experts. Otherwise, stick with 20s.
