Shaved/ rolled fenders on GS2!
Hi all,
thank you for your advice (s) last week for making my purchase on a 275/35/18 wheel for my 10" rim.
I have finally purchased a pair of yokohama AVS ES100s for my rear. But there is a potential of rubbing with the fender. My car is lowered, so therefore i plan to do the unthinkable..... go roll up my rear fenders!
So i know when i do the rolling, i will have to remove the stock black plastic lining (permanently) in order to make the rolling possible.
Please CL members with roll up or shaved fenders, please kindly post pictures of close up "roll up or shaved fenders" because i need to know on how the visual will look like especially my GS is a pearl white coloured one!
thanking you guys in advance!

what a cool write up carbongs! looks easy and precise
it seems your tires were already rubbing before the drop! i can see that you trimmed off the stock plastic linings only. i thought shaving means rolling the metal (above the plastic linings) upwards.
then what is the process of rolling? does it mean making the stock fender "widen" a bit?

I don't think you should jump the gun and shave your fenders due to a potential tire rub. Install the wheels and take it for a test drive, a little rubbing won't hurt the tires too much. And if you do rub, take off wheel arch molding and take it for another test drive. No need to start cutting unless you really have to.
You can also give out the specs on the new wheels and tires, so some of the members here might be able to help you out.

The wheels are already installed. the sidewalls of the yokohama es100s are also rounded like the dunlop sp9000s. so i cannot have any people sitting at the back that's for sure.
I'm running on 275/35/18s on 10". i don't really know about the offsets but i think they are +35
