Default A/C Compressor Problem

During the summer, the compressor on my '99 died and I had it replaced by my mechanic. Less than a week later, the remanufactured compressor started cooling off and on just like the previous one. He replaced that compressor and within a month, the new compressor started doing the SAME thing. What the hell is going on, I am seriously thinking about selling the car if I can't get this figured out. He once mentioned something about an expansion valve or something.

How much and where are you buying the a/c compressors? Mine almost ready to go out and i need to have it replaced. I'm not paying dealer prices for them.

My mechanic is getting them. I should have gone to Autozone, I have never had problems with their parts.

Put an OEM part in there and maybe your problem will go away.
Rebuilds are not built to Lexus specs and therefore do not operate as effeciently. Spend the extra cash and get it done right before you sell your car.
