Default Fair price

Get the guy to take it to an independent mechanic and let him look it over for evidence of body repair.

You can also do it yourself if you can find the numbers on the individual body panels. If the numbers don't match, then something has been replaced

Otherwise, it seems like an ok price.

Per Lexus, that car is clean. There is no history of paint being done to the car. It does show where the emblems were added to the car. It is not a Platinum. Good Luck

I don't care what lexus say's, look closely at the pics. The black wheel opener moldings have red paint on them.. period. The only way for that to happen is from paint. The platium emblem was left on the car, they taped over it, then sprayed the fender. That is why there is paint build up around the emblem. Look close, they didn't even tape it right, they actually painted over part of the emblem. Just giving u the fact's. The inside and overall it's a nice car. Just use the previous re-spray as an advantage to lower the price. There are a lot of other gs's out there that have not been painted over, or if they were. it was done right. It's all up to u what u choose, good luck

From those crappy pictures, I don't see any overspray. I see what might be wax around the emblem, but that's it. Also, JPEG compression can create that reddish tinge around the wheel well. I don't see evidence of a respray.

To each his own. I've worked in a bodyshop for 15 years, trust me bad pic or not, this car was re-sprayed.

Lexus has seen this car in person; you have not. I'm more inclined to believe Lexus for the time being although I hope the OP takes a thorough look at the areas you've mentioned for his own sake before shelling out $14k.

Dealers say anything to sell a car as long as they don't have to put it in writing. I would take it to a local bodyshop and let them inspect it. The inside is very clean though. Not a bad car, I just wouldn't buy it.

i actually purachsed the car and it has service papers and stuff from when the car had 7000 miles.the stuff around the platinum badge is wax residue. i alread took the badges off the car and the reaso those were on there is because when the previous owner bought those platinum edition wheels the seller also gave him the badges so he decided to put them on the car. i will post more pics of later on.
