Unhappy GPS Screen Scratched

I am such a dork!!!! I had been cleaning the fingerprints off the GPS screen with a very soft cloth - no scratches. I couldn't find my soft cloth the other day and used a hand towel - DUMB. I noticed the fingerprints were not coming off very well, so I rubbed pretty hard - scratching the screen.

Is there anything I can do, except replace the screen. I will do that if necessary. Any idea as to cost? H E L P - My 470 is hurt!!

people who are into hobbies and models knows about this special compound that you rub on plastic glass to make it clear and transparent after scratches. Check TAMIYA.

Or get the headlight polisher people have been talkin about. But I don't know if these things will do any harm to the touchscreens..... don't take my words for it. Check with your dealer.

Most metal polishes will take sratches out. You can take scratches out of watch crystals and the headlight covers. It will take a lot of rubbing , but will not add additional scratches.

Don't use polishes! It's a TOUCH SCREEN remember. If you rub a polish on it, you'll probably ruin the screen. You'll probably have the live with the scratches unless you replace it (big $$).
