Default OEM foglight lamp

i was wondering, if the OEM yellow fog light lamps if used white bulbs and still turn out yellow? or do they have to use a yellow bulb also?

if your foglights came yellow than they will stay yellow. It is not the bulb that is making the yellow but a capsule inside the foglight.

if you're going HID, you don't need to buy capsules, you can get HID bulbs that are dialed into a 3k color temp (golden yellow)

Ok, there are two types of fog light housings for the 2GS. One is clear that came with 2GS's that had halogen lamps, the other has a yellow capsule inside and came with 2GS's that had HID lamps from factory. Depending on whether your car came with halogens or HID's will determine whether or not you have clear or yellow fogs unless the housings were changed at some point.

If you put a regular halogen bulb in the yellow fogs or 4300k/5000k HID kit, the light will appear yellow. As stated before if you have the clear fogs you can just get a 3000k HID kit. If you're not sure which fogs you have then just look at them from different angles and you should be able to tell which you have.

Clear fogs + 3000k is pretty yellow

+1 on 3K with yellow fogs. 10X more yellow than 3k with clear fogs.
