Starter Help Help
I am glad you got it done on the cheap, and as long as it works, fine. I did mine myself in 2006. I replaced mine with a remanufactured TOYOTA Starter for about $230.00 plus the cost of the gaskets.
I also replaced the two intake manifold gaskets and the 2 water manifold gaskets.
I got a chance to clean the intake and the throttle body while it was out.
It is only MY opinion, but the Toyota starter is the better one bar none. It is totally remanufactured to new part specifications and will last years longer than a PEP BOYS starter.
It doesn't matter how good the warranty is, when the starter goes out again, the intake will have to removed again. If you plan on getting rid of it soon, then you have no worries.
But if you plan on keeping it 3 or more years, you will probably have to go back in there again.
Thanks
