yes we do. At least OEM HID equipped ones do for the auto leveler.

The auto-leveling sensor for the OEM HID is located on the rear driver side suspension.

The front driver is the ABS sensor.

The ABS sensor is located in the front. If your problem was somewhere up there, then its the ABS (assuming its a sensor you're talking about).

Slamming the car without re-adjusting the tab (on the shock tower) that holds the wire can lead to ABS sensor damage. Whenever you lower your car, you should turn the wheels left and right all the way to make sure the ABS wire isn't being pulled.

A long time ago many people blamed the TRD sway bars for their damaged ABS sensor. I thought that was kind of funny because the ABS wire was no where near the TRD bar. In fact, the sway bar is in the same location as the stock bar. Turns out, most people dont even position their abs sensor wires properly.

But then I dont know how this leads to metal scraping Only way is to take out the wheels and start inspecting.

EDIT: Actually I take that back. The height sensor for both the front and rear driver side belongs to the OEM hid system. It just happens that the ABS sensor is located in the front also. Now I know what you mean

fhew, you scared me there for a second. Yeah, I was almost positive it wasn't the ABS sensor b/c I changed my lower ball joints a few months ago and I put extra care not to damage that sensor and it wasn't that that was dangling from my suspension.

I had the same noise a number of months ago after getting my tires rotated and it was the brake dust cover scraping on the rotor. It was bent out of shape by a careless mechanic putting the wheel back on the hub. In your case it probably happened when the wheels were put back on after your brake job. Easy fix, hit it a few times with a hammer to bend it away from the rotor.
