Custom EDFC mount crafted by the master craftsman RMMGS4
If you've been on these boards for any length of time you will know that Glen aka RMMGS4 is the master craftsman and needs no introduction from me.
He is absolutely fanatical and **** about custom mods, creating custom stuff that nobody else has and is above all a true gentleman!
I have had the rare opportunity (read that as in please don't PM him to make you one, and even if you do, he won't as he just doesn't have the time ) to be blessed by one of his creations.
When I upgraded my audio system last year, I yanked out the stock Nakamichi system in it's entirety.
In its place I installed the following:
1 - Pioneer AVIC-D1 navigation system/HU. Navigation system updated to Pioneer D2 firmware and 2007 maps.
2 - CCD IR Backup camera
3 - Focal Utopia 165K2P front mid range speakers
4 - Focal Utopia TN52 tweeters for the front
5 - Single Focal Utopia 27WX 11 inch subwoofer
6 - Zapco C2K-2.5X component amp
7 - Zapco C2K-2.0X subwoofer amp
8 - 12V Zapco line balanced cables from HU to amps
9 - Tons of sound deadening (both skins of doors, complete trunk, under rear seat )- eDead and Cascade
I didn't take any pics post-install as it was not complete (and still isn't). It was not complete because I had to yank out the ashtray as the wires from the nav were just too many and I could not fit the ashtray back in. I also need to secure the sub in the trunk, (another reason why I never took any pics).
Glen came to my rescue and created a custom EDFC mount for the ashtray (thereby eliminating the ashtray and creating the space needed behind for all the navigation system wires) and I was able to move the EDFC from under the dash above my left knee to its current position.
The pics below speak for themselves. You can see how **** Glen is as he was able to match the paint color of the custom mount to the color of the dash. Just insane how he did this. He is the master of details, hands down. Also look at how smooth the finish is of the mount. I think he sanded and painted it at least 20 times or more...........
I took some daylight pics and two night pics.
Here is the a pic of the backup camera:

It was me. I had the shutter open on the camera for a very long time (30 seconds) and that is why the nav for instance is overexposed.

It was a painstaking labor of love.
