Thinking about buying '01 - '05 GS
It looks like I stumbled across the right site. I'm thinking about getting a used GS 300 or 430. Want something with less than 50k miles with nav for low $20s. Are there any problems I should be on the lookout for? Should I avoid certain model years? Is the 430 that much different than the 300.
I've got my eye on a 2003 GS 300 with 50k miles, nav, Lexus certified. If I can get that for $21k, does that sound reasonable?
I might've asked too many questions, but any information would help.
Thanks.

Speaking from experience, I own a 1st gen 94 gs300. My favorite car out of about 20 or so that ive owned. Ive had it for 6years and it has 170k on it with only the timingbelt and water pump as maint.
I bought my wife a 2nd gen 99' gs300 knowing the track record has been flawless. We found a rare car that had no sunroof, was as stripped down as ive ever seen but none the less a great car. As time grew on we became board with the car since it seemed like the 1st gen we had was nicer. We rode in a friends gs400 and absolutly loved the V8 power. We were on a hunt to find the cleanest that money could buy when we stumbled on a mint 02'
gs430. Silver with black leather (I was never a fan of black until now) 46k and also had the extended warantee. Mark Levinson audio and navigation.
I love the 4.3L v8. Everytime the wife allows me to drive it I just cant belive a large sedan can move so damn fast with an unmodified powertrain.
This is obviously more info than you asked for but in my opinion you should get the most car you can afford and you wont be dissapointed. The V8 gets close to as good as mpg as the gs3.

I bought a 02 GS430 with 37,000 miles on it last September. The only thing wrong with it was it would constantly get condensation in the headlights. I had them replaced with new ones. This is one thing I would watch out for. Otherwise, they car has been perfect.
