Default Help Help Help Guys !!!

I hope someone can help me with this one. My girlfriend was driving my 2000 GS 300 saturday nite and ran out of gas. Ever since then, I have not be able to properly put gas in my car. The gas pump clicks as if it were full and gas spills out unabling me to put gas in my car. I pray to God this is something simple. I'm far from being a mechanic so can someone who has knowledge of this cars help me out please... Thanks

Sounds like something simple all right. I used to have this happen occasionally with my MR2 and on one or two occasions with my GS.

Do your gas pumps in Texas have those "vapor recovery boots" on the nozzle?
In California, all our gas pump nozzles have these; I have found that if you hold
the rubber flap back while filling, this lets some of the vapors escape and you
can actually get some gas in the car. It's a two-handed operation; with your
right hand, pull the trigger/handle - with your left hand, gently pull back on the
rubber boot so it doesn't seal against the filler hole on the car.

Did that make sense? Give it a try!

That does make sense... So could it be pressure from vapor in the tank that needs to be released ? But I'll give it a try as soon as I get home...
