I sure hope that everyone is okay. Speeding or not he/she failed to stop in time thus that equals following to close. Insurance should take care of you, but your GS looks totaled to me. I hope it all works out to your satisfaction smoothly and quickly.

Hope you're ok. We don't like to think about it, but our cars can be replaced. Dont be too quick to take a check from their insurance company until you check out what its really going to take to make you whole again.

This reminds me of something that I saw not too long ago where a woman fell asleep behind the wheel while stuck in traffic. I don't know what happened cuz I was slow in traffic too but going the opposite direction. I mean she had her chin touching the bottom of her neck and eyes closed. Think about it for a sec, suppose that while sleeping, her foot gradually comes off the brake pedal and the she hits the car in front of her. I don't see too much damage happening from that. But would worry me is that if traffic ahead started to move, and the person behind honks their horn, the woman will wake up probably all startled from the sound of the horn and perhaps accidently putting her foot on the accelerator resulting in that kinda rear end damage. Have not seen or heard it before but somethings tells me it has happened.

nice try playing devils advocate but you cant tell how the stretch of road where he actually got hit looks at all from the three close up shots. anyway the car behind him managed to stop in time... if the idiot behind that car wasn't tailing too close or speeding, he would've been able to stop.

anyway man, sorry to hear about this but happy everyones ok.

that makes me sick, seeing nice cars wrecked like that, all because some dumby wasn't paying attention, and your damage is that bad w/ a car right behind you? That really stinks, hope everything works out for you. GL
