Default lowering springs & ball joints

The reason I ask is because I'm having a clunk noise coming from my front passenger side. I had lowering springs installed about 4 months ago and have had the problem ever since. Well just yesterday I was able to get an appointment at my buddies shop who did the install. He said it's not the shock/spring Assembly all that stuff is tight. He said it sounds like it might be a Ball Joint. So, before I spend IDK how much money, I wanted to see what some other people did when they encountered this noise.

It only does it going over bumps at low speeds and there's almost like an ever so slight delay from when I hit the bump to when I hear the noise you know. We tried to reproduce the noise in the shop but couldn't. We checked for play in the wheel up and down and nothing. I only have about 42,000 miles on my car so IDK. If you can offer any insight I would really appreciate it.

I have an appointment on Mon. to have Lexus look at it. I would like to have it covered under warranty. Can lowering springs really damage suspension components?

Thanks,

Chris

might wanna check them balljoints if u hear a squeeking metal sound or you might end up like me and other people with their bj breaking and your car falling on its face in the middle of the street.

Seems to early for you to have the problem but you never know. He cant find anything else ?

I beleive JeffTsai replaced his at 20k.. He has a 2005 GS3..

Lowering the car would put addtional stress on the suspension components but 42k is pretty low miles to be replacing them. The spring may not be sitting right? If the problem happened as soon as you lowered the car it maybe the springs..

If you need ball joints buy them at Sewell Lexus.. THe dealer is going to be way to expensive.. GL..
