I just did this on the GS 300 badges and it left the most awful looking impression on the trunk.

Can't see it from about 5 feet back but still.

Now I don't know if I should do the Lexus Side.
Plus it took FOREVER! LOL..
And no that is not left over glue. Its like the paint came off around the letters or something. I did everything to it. Its not going away I guess unless I paint the trunk.

From the pictures just the outline of the GS300 looks neat. Personally debadging makes the car look cleaner to me.

Buff/ polish it. Not a fan of the Tein badge. Especially on a Lexus.

Sorry knight rider for jacking your thread.
Didn't make much sense starting a new one on the same topic.
Yours came out PERFECT as opposed to mine.

Buffed Polished Waxed and put the touch up paint.
Took off the Lexus part too.

Up Close...

5 feet back.

Ehhhhhh....

Mine actually still has some glue it's that you can't really see it in the pix. I just haven't had time to clean it up.

That is my next option for next Sunday.
Will keep you all posted on if it works.
Thanks.

As for still having glue. I took off all the glue with my finger nail but soaked the glue with some bug and tar remover. Took off the thick parts with a hard plastic (ie credit card that you don't use) and then the smaller parts with my finger nail.

Took a while but all the glue is off.

I used a clay bar to get the final remnants off. I then buffed and polished. There is not even an image left, but my car is silver.

Debadged mine last weekend. I tore up an old cotton t-shirt and bought a bottle of GOO GONE. A soapie sponge and a hour of your time. WAX ON! WAX OFF!! Then buff/ polish and you won't see any outlines.
