If you don't plan on molding the lip, use a stronger glue that the one provided. If you do plan on having your lip molded on, I would retain the lines of the lip rather than having it sanded down completely. It accentuates the front bumper and the GS as a whole. Here is mine molded. with the lines retained.
i getting mine painted on put on next week, not going to mold though, dont want to scrape and ruin the bodywork, im pretty low, btw the car looks great, did you use the epoxy?
what a great thread to see right after i just smashed mine into a curb...
I agree with jeff - get that thing stuck to your bumper as much as possible. You'll see two holes to allow you to screw it into your bumper on both sides of the lip and one hole in the middle. use all of those holes and use epoxy. mine was epoxied on and it held up to a lot of "abuse" until last Monday when I smashed it into the curb. It wasn't really abused but hey, it's a fact, it's gonna get scratched up under there.
It's at the shop getting painted and will get put back on this Monday.
LOL, E Not at all, just passing along another option. And yours will be done when????
Hope to see you at the meet this weekend.......[/
...nice Cliff...your molded TTE is nice & clean!!! You were the one that influenced me to do the same...still waiting on my damn TTE lip to come in though.
BTW, which meet are you going to? The Glen Cove dealership meet? I'll be there too.
It makes the GS look like it have face reconstructive surgery to enhance it's beauty. There is a a group buy going on for tte lip from Carson check out the vendor section.
