lost key...need help
I just can't believe it my wife lost her car keys....I think you know where this heading now. I have turned my house upside down 2 or 3 times trying to find them but no luck. Anyways I called my local Lexus dealer this morning and holy **** $265 for the key and $70 to program total $335 for a frigging key......there goes my intake. What I need is a crown&coke and a better deal on a key. Can anyone help?
I have another transponder key so I don't have to worry about the ecu unit needing to be replaced thank God. Get this my wife says give me your key and we don't have to buy another key. How long before she loses my key and then it will cost $2,000 for a set of keys....there goes my bodykit....sorry about rambling I am still fuming
Thanks inadvance for any help....

Sorry to hear that. The keys are expensive. I got a second key because mine only came with one...stupid Certified policy. They wanted $160.00 for the key and free programing...but I got them to give it to me for %50 off.
So I figure if you call around it shouldn't be more than $160.00 retail and if you have good relations with a tech or advisor they might do the programming free. Programming only takes 10 minutes...but they all make a big deal out of it. They will go on and tell you oh...it take a lot of steps...blah blah blah.
I really have not see it for less than $160.00 but I could be wrong. Maybe steve over at carson toyota can get it for you. BTW I got mine at Lexus of Glendale, CA...I know all the lexus is tied into the same system...so they can pull up your car info...but do not know about security...since this is your key.
Good luck,
