Does current CD-changer do CD-RW?

I'm finally found my car and managed to hold on to it. (2001 GS3 black/black, Nav/ML) unless they sell it out from under me this week before it arrives! Was wondering if anyone has been able to get CD-R and CD-RW discs to play in their late model Lexus changer? I imagine CD-R will play (they work in my 3 year old JVC 3-CD in-dash player), but CD-RW only work in players engineered to read them. Anyone having success?

Better check with the dealer, but I doubt the changer will read RWs. The bit pattern for RW is not the same as CD-R.
They may be out there but I've not encountered a changer that will read RW. Only players I've seen that will are on multi-read computer drives.

Some will read them if you finalize the CDRW but then you will have a CD-R essentially.
