I have a 99 GS400 with 138,000 miles. I only owned the car for about 4 months and I am now currently replacing the alternator which took a crap on me last week. Just keep an eye out for the alternator though. The Power Steering pump which sits right above the alternator can leak a little bit of fluid on the alternator in which over time it can cause the alternator to fail and show up with a Battery Discharge light.

That is EXACTLY what happened to me at 125k. I had to replace both. ugh.

My 1998 GS400 is at right about 130k now.

My 98 GS400 just flipped a 100k this week. Runnin strong no complaints. Did the 90k service and thats about it besides brakes.

I'm gonna be pissed off if one of the old GS problems hits me soon. (Dead starter, power steering pump, door actuators, blah blah blah)

I want to spend my money on suspension upgrades and new rims!!!!!!

2001 GS430 - 93k miles. Getting ready to shell out $1700 for the 90k service... other than that just the usual oil change/service routine.

Cheers!
