Ever since I installed my Injen intake on my 2002 GS300, the check engine stays on. What do can I do to stop it from staying on?

 

i think you are probably running a P0171 code... engine lean... due to an uncalibrated AFM... no solution except go back to factory intake... or calibrate the intake pipe...

 

Pull the code. That will tell you if it really does have something to do with the intake. Also be sure you put the MAF meter in the right way.

 

does anyone have a pic of how the maf should sit on the pipe?

 

Turns out light came on because my exhaust system is not running up to par. I need new oxygen sensors and new catalytic converter. Is this something that is common with other second gen GS300's or is it just mine? The car had 36000 miles two years ago, when it was bought, and now it has about 61000 miles. I am pretty sure it still has the warranty but I have to double check to make sure. If it still has the warranty, does that mean that the warranty covers everything or will I have to pay? I have no idea because I have never had any problems at all, so I have never taken the car to the dealer.
