I have used search for days and not getting any response from the audio section.so am hoping you guys can help me out here.
I am installing my eclipse unit but cannot figure where to connect the reverse signal wire to.
some say behind the guage cluster (but which one?)
also can someone tell me the watts of the stock sub and what power of amp would be ok for it.

I bought a Kenwood DDX-8017 and it came with a really long (18 feet?) pink wire that I hooked to the reverse lamp on the car itself. Just run a wire to the bulb that comes on when you put the car in reverse! Worked like a champ, and everytime I'd hit reverse my rear view camera would come on. Of course, being aftermarket, I got bored with that and just switched the rear-view to a video input so I could watch it going down the highway...

 

do you mean the bulb that lights up in the "R" in the guage cluster or the actual reverse bulb in the rear backlight?
