Default need help.. changed trans fluid

ok i changed the trans fluid with the toyota t-IV (2 quarts). i drained it, then filled it, then ran it through all the gears. checked the level and it said it was in the cold section. so i took it around the block when i got home i checked it again and it was still in the cold section. do I need to get more trans fluid? i read that it only takes 2 quarts to fill the pan. am i wrong or is this ok to run like this?

you need to go more than around the block to get it up to "hot" temp. drive 10 minutes or so and not too easy on it either.

I think mine drained about 2 and 1/3 quarts.

Take it for 15-20 min spin and than check the level again. You should be fine

You may want to monitor the fluid level for the next few days, insuring the level "hot" doesn't drop any more.
