lol, the pic was taken in Phoenix... UT has even hotter girls at Brigham Young University but the problem is they are morman, thus meaning either they don't drink or party hearty or are Married !

Still the fact so many of the girls are untouchable makes them even more desirable!

Hey you guys, superstition lexus says my trans fluid is dark and should be powerflushed. According to the scheduled maintence log for the Gs430, there is no scheduled time for changing out the fluid, just when its needed.

Is it possible the lexus dealer is justs trying to sell me? (they also recommended flushing and refilling the powersteering fluid, doing the 3part $329 fuel injector/throttle bottle cleaning etc.) Their prices are ridiculous! $132 for the 5k oil change and filter!

I am not sure if my trans needs to be powerflushed (i heard powerflushing is bad in high mileage cars) and if my trans fluid needs to be changed, I might just do the drain and refill auto trans for the next two or three oil changes. My car only has 89k and is a 01 so I dunno if the trans fluid is that worn with some peeps posting on here they have gone 120-150k mi without a trans fluid change.

Oh, also, should I use a mobil1 synthetic oil for the car? I assume with 5-7.5k between changes I would need a synthetic oil plus a extrended life filter.

Congrats on your GS. But the 90K service is approaching. Them hotties in the pics that love your GS, well don't party to hard with them. That cash will be needed for the 90K service. By looking at them, yeah it'll probably be hard to do so unless you got the funds.

thanks guys! So any comments on my previous questions about the powerflushing or drain/refill of trans fluid (how can I tell if it needs to be changed for that matter?)

also what kind of oil and oil filter should I use in my car? Synthetic or Dino?

Welcome to the site! I got my GS400 with 70K on it and I switched to synthetic oil. Mobil 1 5W30. I would do that in your car as well. I drain the trans pan by taking out the plug and refill it with 2 quarts at the time I change the oil. I would do that as well. You shouldn't need to do any flushing. Nice pics of the ladies

Yeah, concerning the oil, I am puzzled because according to the lexus dealership, they use regular oil and the toyota filters yet the dino oil will last 5-7.5k! Shouldn't regular oil be changed every 3k? (thats how I did it with my old ford truck)

I thought only synthetic oil will last like 7.5k (with the long life synthetics lasting 10+ k).

Plus I heard if you car has higher mileage, its not good to change from dino to synthetic since I heard that switching to synthetic will distort the gasket and cause potential oil leaks. Is that true as well? Thanks all!

P.S., haha, since it seems the girl in the pic with my car is so popular maybe I will post up some more pics... she took the pics on her cam and should be emailing them to me. Cheers!
