Default Does/Has anyone ever painted....

Hey fellow i did a search and couldnt find this. Im currently painting my GS Black again. But i was thinking about painting the chrome trims black. NOt the one thats around the windows. But the one that runs accord the botton sides and bumpers. What do you guys think? would this look good? Has anyone done this before or have any pictures thanks in advance.

Black chrome sounds enticing.

being that your car is black, I think painting it black chrome would make the line disappear and thus take away from the lines of the car. But I think black chrome would look great on a silver or white GS

Personally, I'd leave the chrome strip but if you did want to paint it for some reason (chrome in bad shape) a nice contrasting pin stripe should help keep the lines of the car. I've seen all kinds of striping, from multiple solid lines to patterns and even small symbols.

Forget wether or not it will look right, I doubt that the paint will stick on there long term. It would suck to do that and end up with flaking down the road. The chrome strips around the car are just stuck on there with a 3m tape backing. If you dont like the chrome, take it all off and go buy black mouldings instead They make them, and sell them at any real parts store. I say real, meaning the ones that the shops use, not pep boys.

I wouldnt do it, imho it wont look right and will detract from the classiness of the car. I have seen some BMW 7's with all black, wheels, trim, all of it, no chrome at all! looks odd to me.
