Default OEM Spoiler vibrating

Anybody else have issues with the factory spoiler vibrating while going down the road. I have a 98 GS400 that has the spoiler and if I look in the rear view mirrior, its vibrating, and it drives me crazy. My GirlFriend says at night It looks weird when Im braking cause my third brake light in the window looks like it flikkers because the spoiler is vibrating. I took it off and tightned the mounts, but it a bit better but still happening. Anyone with a idea on how I can fix this.

i have the same issue since day 1. I added as a factory option which cost me damn $1300 (the worst $1300 I ever spent). In any event, I took it to the dealership couple times and other than tighten up the screw there was no remedy to it. A ex-service consultant (Perry) at Longo suggested to inject something to the spoiler (its hollow btw) to firm up the spoiler. At that time I thought it would be weird thing to do so I did not. BTW, Longo Lexus did not even install the different spring to compensate the weight of the spoiler (which I later on found out should be in the package) so i need to close my trunk lightly to avoid trunk being slammed to close.

When I bought my GS it came with the factory wing. I hate how it vibrates at speed. Mine vibrates at low speeds also about 15+mph it will start to vibrate. I'm about to just pull it off and hope that there are no holes left behind

I pulled mine off to check it out and it looks like 5 holes will be in the trunk lid. I wish could yank it off, but I like they way it looks vs no spoiler. I havent found a spoiler I like better. Im considering trying to make a center pilar for it to try and support it better. Or Im considering fabricating a aluminum support that will fit in the grove that is on the underside behind the light. I posted this thread to see if I was alone on this problem, or if it was common. Meanwhile im still going crazy when i watch it vibrate.

Take it off, then fill it up with a bit of expanding foam. Just be careful how you do it. It'll add quite a bit of weight to it therefore reducing the vibrations . I realised the OEM style spoiler was VERY VERY light so will be picking up a can of expanding foam and doing very short bursts of it anywhere I see an opening.
