Default Wheel help and other issues

Decided to keep my GS afterall. Will mod rather than buy new hot rod............

I know I have said this before BUT I finally found the wheels I like. Axis Hiro. Will use staggered 19's; car is 2000 GS 400 Platinum Series, pearl white (don't know the official Lexus color name) with the black nickel badges. Do I go with the silver or the anthracite wheels? Who should I call to buy them?

Also, after 70k miles, some chipping on the hood. If I touched it up, it probably wouldn't look any better b/c as we know touch up ain't perfect. If I repainted the hood, it is bound to chip again. Car is on limited use duty but will never be used as a show car (although it is an IASCA car). I drive it to and from the office and when the wife and I go out to dinner. Do I repaint the hood or just live with it? FYI - I must reshoot the front bumper cover b/c wife put a bruise on it.

Your thoughts please - especially from whom do I get the wheels...........

I would respray the hood and speak with Derrick from D2 about the wheels. Nice to hear you are keeping the car.

Damn - no suggestions on which finish on the wheels will look better on my white car...........

Anyway, need new suggestion re: wheel retailer. Reached out to D2 regarding pricing etc and have yet to get the courtesy of a reply. Can't buy 'em if the guy doesn't call back or send me an e-mail.

BTW - I am taking the suggestion of LEXBOX and will re-spray the nose. Thanks

Both would look good, but my personal choice would be chrome. There are plenty here that have dark wheels and love that look. Which do YOU prefer?

I am really having a hard time choosing - I like them both. I think the dark looks better but I am not sure if the wheel finish is close to the finish on my badges (I want dark wheels that match the badge finish). If someone with info about the wheels let me know, I could make my choice.

I'd go for the Anthracite, I think they'd set off the car color nicely and be more unusual as well. I have Hyper-Black rims which are pretty much the same color as Anthracite on an Alpine Silver GS400 and I love the look. As for vendor don't overlook Ebay, those Hiro rims are pretty popular on there. Good luck.

Found retailer on e-bay "Needforspeedmotors". Looks like they have a ton of good feedback and a decent price on the wheels (complete set 19" staggered setup $1440). Anyone here deal with them before?

Still haven't heard from D2 Autosports and it has been a week. What's up with that?
