Yeah actually the housing market was a huge factor in our decision to accept the transfer to Birmingham. Bringing our salaries to the South was the key to the whole deal. Almost everyone else declined the transfer.

I'm originally from B'ham. (all my family is there) It's rediculously cheap to live there compared to other parts of the country. Nice ride and house!

Well you know I can't wait to see your car as well. I have watched that video clip about 100 times already. Lexfest should be a lot of fun. Are you still going to do NOPI in Atlanta as well? Maybe we should have Lexfest that same weekend? And do both in conjunction with one another.

dam forget the car check out your crib!!! i got family down in alabama too, from mobile and montgomery but i never liked the south all that much. life is to slow down there and it's too dam hot!!!

Automan, I'm an hour north on 65. Decatur, AL.

There are a lot of meets in Huntsville. Supras, G35's etc.

Cars loooking good bro.. and nice house.. My GF's parents live in Birmingham and its not a bad place.. Some really nice neighborhoods and the houses aren't that expensive... Not yet a least.. Good Luck..

Thank you for all of the compliments and well wishes. I did not realize that the house would draw so much comment on the forum. I was born in Mississippi and still have lots of cousins there but I swore I would never move back to the South but hey things have changed and I saw this as a great opportunity to get some things that I could only dream of having where I was before. I still probably won't go to Mississippi though!
