Clips ?
So i wanted to take off the chrome trim of the stock side skirt mold (front) and after 20 mins of trying to loosen the clips, i noticed there was some sort of double-sided tape under it , when i cut the tape , the chrome just come off . what the hell are the clips for ?

if you're speaking of the clips that are attached to the lower section of the fenders, they are there to hold that piece of cladding,LOL,what would be the other purpose of a clip?
I belive Protecto-Trim makes a nice replacement universal chrome molding that uses simple double sided tape for attaching,I've done bunch of kits on second gen GSs a few Avalons, and that molding fit perfect in the groove.
