Total BS. All you need is a policy number and Driver lic. number and Name of the driver + name of the insured.

I would suggest call your insurance at this time and also lodge a complaint against the other party's insurance comapny with the state inurance regulating comission. It would be great if the insurance company would give you in writing that they need an address [specially when the other party gave you the wrong address].

Also ask your agent to send a certified letter at the known address.
