I love the LED ambiance lighting, it seriously adds such a different touch to the car. I had a 02 ES300 loaner a long time ago and it had it in the foot wells, loved it. Now my preset car has soft amber mood LEDs all thoughout the car and its seriously one of my favorite features!!! If I ever bought a car without it, I would probably have to have it retrofitted.

One suggestion, these lights are intended to create ambiance as well as lend improved visibility of the doorhandles, dash controls, etc so with that you should try a softer color like maybe a soft green to match the climate control backlights.

Also let me know if you want to add more, I will tell you exactly where to put them to give the car that "luxury jet" feeling!

Nice mod man, your cars come a lonnnnggg way!

Very nice effect and look.

Now you need to work on your photo taking technique. I Might suggest you use the macro feature of your camera to get up close and stay in focus.

Nice job LK. I love the look. Should have come standard with the car. I agree with D2 that it would look even better if you softened the light a bit. By the way, how hard were the lights to install? I assume you had to take off the door panels? What source did you tap to power the lights? Do they automatically come on when the doors unlock? When do they go off (after you close the door or do you need to lock the door)? Just curious.

I agree. I have Amber LED's lighting up the dash/console from the overhead. I liked them so much I changed the ones in the footwells, and I think im goign to do the door handles in Amber as well

EDIT: heres a pic (the parking lights are off in that shot).

YEa, up by the sunroof buttons is a good place - the BMW 5 series and Acura TL have them - they create a very nice ambience... Just dont go too bright...
