Hey J. I know, and ever since I did it, my wife tells me that I've been waking up in the middle of the night in a puddle of cold sweat screaming "it's not a mod, it's just like stock, it's not a mod, it's just like stock." I'm sure it wlil get easier with time.

Okay, I'm going by memory here, but I believe I measured it to be 8.5 x 9.25. Can anyone else confirm this?

i made my filter out of filtrete a few months ago but my OEM AC filter still isnt dirty enuf so ill change it later

for my filtrete filter, i cut one big piece of filter into 4 small pieces that each can fix into the box
then i double layered 2 filters that i cut out and taped the edges together

ill try that out and hopefully the dual layer filter wont restrict too much airflow

E man, I wanted to ask you how your diy cabin filter is working. All good? I need to replace mine and I loved your home made one.

Hey Krupski. It worked great. A few weeks after I put it in, I got a good deal on a Lexus filter, so I went ahead and swapped it out just for the heck of it. It looked fine when I took it out and would have lasted just as long as the OEM. Good luck with the DIY.

I took out my filter the other day and I swear to god it looked like a birds nest - all types of leaves, petals and a variety of dirt!! Looks like I'm going to the home depot for my newest "MOD"...

a cool idea is get the air filters for the home that have like vanilla or cherry scent...they are used for central air vents...when you put those in replacement of the reg filter when you have air from outside come thru it it has a slight hint of vanilly or cherry...preety kool...chekc it out at home depot...
