CD track skip not working
I just purchased a 2000 year GS300 Platinum Edition from a private party, and it appears that the CD track select/skip function does not work on the stereo (the regular/stock non-Nakamichi stereo with 6 CD changer in the glovebox - Pioneer?). Even with just the lightest touch on the FFWD control, it just FFWDS the track that is playing (same for RWD), and does not skip to the next or previous track. I know that the last owner had the battery replaced, so I don't know if the buttons got deprogrammed somehow, or if they are just broken, or if i'm simply missing something obvious.
Any help or advice is much appreciated, as it is really frustrating not being able to select individual CD tracks. Has anyone else had a similar experience, and if so, what was the fix?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

hahaa, coz' you are pressing on the wrong button. look at the bottom left corner, where the "seek" button is. if you press the upper part, it will skip to the next song, if you press on the lower part, it will go to previous
trust me, it's not the most obvious way, and it took me a while to figure out too
