i use mobile one and it always stays exactly where i filled it up at...doesnt seem to burn a bit.

 

Up here in Alaska the oil refineries add MTBE during the winter months to help with air quality issues. This stuff lowers gas mileage and creates more moisture during the combustion process. It also has a "peculiar" odor out the exhaust, I can't really describe it or associate it with anything else. Ask your local gas station in your area if they too are using this additive. The more I read your descriptions the more I think this is what has happened. You can also search the net for MTBE and probably find out if it's being used in your area.

 

i only pump 76 which does not use MTBE im just kinda stumped about this....maybe nothing is wrong and im just worrying over nothing
