Ron.....

I too, have to install a trunk lip Spoiler. Looks like I will have to force both ends down about a quarter inch on both ends. I'm afraid that the tape will not keep the ends down.

I'm waiting for a real hot day where I can let the sun heat up the spoiler and possibly make it pliable so that there won't be any strain on the tape.

What kind of double sided tape are you using? If you don't want it toever come off (at least not easily), you can also use polyurethane.

Like Neo said, what knid of tape are you using? I live in Palm Beach County and have both my UGO roof spoiler and JP rear 3 piece spoiler secured by 3M structural double sided tape. They are firmly attached and will be difficult to remove ( believe me because I have removed a roof spoiler before and almost broke the spoiler trying to get it off.

Make sure you have removed any wax prior to bonding on both surfaces and get the 3M structural double sided tape. Done right with this tape and clean surfaces - it will work.

I bought some 3M double sided tape and just taped the entire thing - but the only problem i have is that the ends are not completely stuck - so i think i'm gonna wait to get my "damn electricity back" and use some black silicone to fill in the space and put some paint on it to make it look a little better

Default Spoiler Installation

I ordered and received a Trunk Lip Spoiler from SpoilerDepot for my wife's GS 300. Got ready to install it, then noticed a slight deformation on one end, so I returned it for a replacement.

While I was holding it on the trunk lid to see how it was going to look, I noticed that the ends were about 1/4 inch up from the trunk on both ends. Does anybody have any experience with the installation of the spoiler ?? Do I need to worry about the 1/4 inch ?? I just figure that I will have to put some weights on both ends and choose a hot day so that perhaps the spoiler will bend a little. Of course, I'm assuming that the next spoiler will also have the lifted ends.
