Default buying 98 gs400 (electrical problem)

hi i was trying to buy this gs400 locally, it's 98 silver on black and it's really clean. the electrical system was pretty weird... i drove it around and it was okay for a while but then the nav system blacked out, pretty soon the warning sensor for the battery came on, the interior lights started to get dim as well as the head light.. they flickered on and off until the car died and couldn't restart.

they said that the alternator and the battery was changed recently due to not being able to fire up. so i dont think it's because of that...

any idea what it could be and how serious the condition might be?

it is for $16,000 with 116,000 miles

i wish i could pick it up!!!

first off, welcome to CL!! 2nd of all, STAY AWAY!!!! electrical problems are NO JOKE. believe me man, i dealt with a car that had an electrical problem w/the A/C and it would have costed me about $90/hr just to have someone look at it and not even garauntee it to work. it is a HASSLE. be patient, the right car will come along

have them recheck the alternator and battery connections.
your battery is not being recharged.
also you will need a juction produce body kit.
