did anyone successfully input DVD into the Nav/ML screen on the front center console. on the 01 GS430. I have heard that is impossible to break into ML... does anyone know how to do it?

 

I don't think the GS's Nav system has the DVD video decoder in it. I heard it's do-able in the LS430 and the LX470's (anyone know on the SC430's?) but I have tried all the ways that work on the other cars (like you have to have it in park with the e-brake on, etc., etc.) and I didn't get video...

They might have upgraded the DVD nav system in the newer GS430's (someone with a newer GS430 wanna try?)...if a newer build GS430 DOES have DVD capabilities, looks like my DVD unit will take a mysterious dive and will need to be replaced under warranty...

 

I think the LX470 is the only one that can display video images of DVD.
