Default XM Roady Installation

Hi. Just joined CL and am trying to find out if anyone has intalled an XM Roady device in their GS. I have an '01 GS300 and I want it and the antenna to be as inconspicuous as possible. Thanks and I look forward to participating in CL. Jeff

Welcome to CL, you can mount the antenna on the far right corner of your dash and run the lead over the passenger footwell back to the unit itself, it's a pretty simple install.

Thanks Indio. Any good ideas as to where to mount the Roady itself? I have been told that there is a car specific bracket for it but that it will stick out the left or right side of the dash by the radio. Was wondering if anyone has used the ash tray area or anywhere else that is less conspicuous successfully. Thanks again.

I made a bracket out of 16ga. steel. I will post a picture when I get home this evening. It puts the XM above the the forward cup holder. It will not hold big cups now, but will still hold a small sized cup.

I Put Mine Inside The Center Arm Rest On The Top Level Facing The Driver - No Idea It's In There With The Cover Closed.

Hey guys...thanks for the advice. I should be getting my car back in two weeks after the collision damage is done and hopefully can get this installed soon.
